Villagers putting on show to raise scholarship funds

The Villages has talent, and 16 fun and upbeat acts will prove it during a fundraiser for a good cause.

iSparkle Got Talent 3, the third edition of the talent show that raises college scholarship funds, is scheduled from 7-9pm Sunday, Feb. 10, at Lake Miona Recreation Center, 1526 Buena Vista Blvd. Tickets cost $16 each and tables for 8-10 people also can be purchased by contacting iSparkle team coordinator Rosemary Ahrens at 352.205.4892 or sparkleteamcoord@gmail.com.

Local performers including singers, magicians, comedians, and more are donating their time for the show. For a video detailing the acts, see facebook.com/isparklescholarship/videos/377199442849816/.

iSparkle, which stands for inclusion, support, protect, act, respect, kindness, lift spirits, and encourage, is an anti-bullying program co-founded by Villages entertainer Petrina. Scholarship funds are awarded to candidates who help create atmospheres of inclusion for their peers.

Any qualified U.S. high school senior related to a Villages homeowner may apply for the scholarship program. Go to petrina.biz/isparkle.html for more information or, if you wish to get involved with fundraising, call Petrina at 407.621.1097.
