The 3/5-scale model traveling model is 6 feet tall and 300 feet long. Set-up will begin Nov. 1 with takedown on Nov. 5. An Opening Ceremony on Nov. 2 at 9 am begins the viewing.
“We are fortunate to be working with The Band of Brothers, the organization that makes this viewing possible,” says Mike Burske, director of Lady Lake Parks and Recreation.
The Band of Brothers, a 501 (c) (3) organization, works year-round to raise money for charitable veteran projects such as the veterans’ groups bringing the display to town.
While the town of Lady Lake does not pay to have the wall brought here, food and beverages will be on sale to help cover the approximately $8,000 cost it takes to bring the wall here.
