United Southern Bank’s chief financial officer and senior vice president, Connie Frady, has been elected chairman of the BancServ Board of Directors at the recent annual meeting of the Florida Bankers Association (FBA) hosted in Naples.
“We are honored that Connie has been elected by her peers to this prestigious position,” United Southern Bank President and CEO, Greg Nelson, said in a press statement. “She continues our tradition of service to our customers, community and our industry. Connie will be a great fit as chair for the BancServ Board of Directors.”
Friday noted her goal is to help BancServ, a wholly owned, for-profit subsidiary of the FBA, connect with bankers throughout Florida working with current and future vendors and “to meet the needs of our industry.”
The Tavares native graduated from Florida State University where she majored in math education and minored in business. She went on to earn a degree in accounting at North Carolina State University. After graduating, she worked three years in public accounting, dividing her time between Ernst & Young in North Carolina and Price Waterhouse in Orlando.
Frady obtained her CPA license in 1992 and moved back to Lake County to work for USB where she has been employed for the last 25 years.
