If there’s a name synonymous with community banking, it’s United Southern Bank. USB has been serving Lake County for more than 80 years.
Now, the bank has become even more visible.
On Oct. 3, USB opened its 12thbranch in Wildwood. Bank officials and community leaders celebrated with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, complete with barbecue and homemade pie.
In a press release, Ed Wolf, mayor of Wildwood, said USB’s presence in the town as “an excellent fit for the community” and that “USB reminds me of the banks of old days, when people helped one another.”
Greg Nelson, president of the bank, was equally excited. “We care about the people and are genuinely concerned with serving the communities where we operate.”
