Occupation: Electrician at Electrical Works.
Hidden talent: Playing piano.
Describe yourself: Hard-working, logical, considerate, and committed.
Love of your profession: I really enjoy the problem-solving and critical thinking nature of the field—how to make something work, diagnosing a problem, or even just thinking of the most effective way to complete a task.
Most challenging aspect of being an electrician: The troubleshooting aspect of the field. It can be extremely challenging, but that’s what makes it so rewarding.
Greatest career accomplishment: After Irma decimated the Florida Keys in 2017, I went down and led the complete rewire of two large RV parks. I was down there for over a year and completed each of them well under deadline with little to no hiccups.
Leader I admire: Senator Rand Paul. He is very consistent and principled. He doesn’t seem to have any agenda other than protecting the freedoms that the American people have and making this country as great as it can be.
Advice I’d give my younger self: I would tell myself not to attend college. I can count on one hand the amount of things that really meant anything to me or stuck with me from my two years of college.
Guilty pleasure: Debating.
Philosophy of life: “If you don’t pick up the ball and run with it, someone else will.”
