A Tribute to Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, will be the high note Nov. 10 when CeCe Teneal and Soul Kamotion perform at the Modernism Museum Mount Dora known for its unprecedented collection of fine art and design.
“The tribute is a first for CeCe to perform here,” says Brock Lesperance museum administrator, “Although it will be her third performance at the museum. “
The two performers will sing numbers from their energetic new live album release along with a tribute to the Queen of Soul during the vibrant and soulful concert on Saturday.
Known for having blues, soul and gospel roots, CeCe and Soul Kamotion’s message is love, joy and purpose. Their new live album “#5or5000” is a blend of songs that are captivating, energetic and just plain entertaining.
A wine reception begins at 6:30 pm. Concert begins at 7 pm. Tickets are $20 for Modernism Museum Mount Dora members and $30 for nonmembers. A special preconcert menu is available at 1921 by Norman Van Aken, a James Beard Award-winning restaurant located directly across the street from the museum.

Located at 145 E. Fourth Ave., Mount Dora, the museum also invites guests to attend workshops and monthly concerts in an intimate venue. The current exhibit is “Space Oddities: Bowie|Sottsass|Memphis” featuring the work of Ettore Sottsass and various pieces from the private collection of David Bowie.
