The Audience Participates in a “Journey to Oz”

An exciting and different production is being hosted by Lake County Florida Tourism and the Clermont Performing Arts Center. “Journey to Oz” performed by The Experiential Theater Company will be doing two shows at 11am and 3pm. The “different” part of the production is the audience steps into parts on stage while the play is going on.

L. Frank Baum, who wrote “The Wizard of Oz” wrote many stories about Dorothy and her adventures in Oz. “Journey to Oz” is a new adaptation where audience members are invited to go to Oz with Dorothy. They will be singing and dancing as well as acting alongside the professional actors in the theater company. The entire audience will sing, create sound effects, participate in call and response, and even play Munchkins, Crows, and Flying Monkeys!

It will be an endearing adventure and a memory a child will never forget. See “Journey to Oz” on Oct. 20 at 11am and 3pm at the Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S. U.S. Highway 27 in Clermonts. Tickets are $7.49-$16 and available at Enjoy a great family play and you may even be a star!
