Talented performers from Villages raising funds for scholarships

Villagers apparently have so much talent, they needed an encore. iSparkle Got Talent 2, the second edition of the talent show that raises college scholarship funds, is scheduled from 7-9pm Sunday, May 20, at Eisenhower Recreation Center, 3560 Buena Vista Blvd., The Villages. Tickets cost $16 and can be purchased by contacting iSparkle team coordinator Rosemary Ahrens at 352.205.4892 or sparkleteamcoord@gmail.com.

Rosemary has selected 29 fun and upbeat acts of all genres featuring local performers. The show is billed as a sure way to have a great time with friends. The event is BYOB, and also includes a raffle for prizes.

iSparkle, which stands for inclusion, support, protect, act, respect, kindness, lift spirits, and encourage, is an anti-bullying program co-founded by Villages entertainer Petrina. Scholarship funds are awarded to candidates who help create atmospheres of inclusion for their peers. Any qualified U.S. high school senior related to a Villages homeowner may apply for the scholarship program.
