The Lake County Board of County Commissioners will host the annual State of the County presentation at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 in the County Commission Chambers of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St., Tavares.
This year’s theme, “Lake County on the Move,” will highlight the County’s many 2019 achievements, including major construction and infrastructure projects, public safety upgrades and economic development.
“It has been an extraordinary year, and we made significant strides in the areas of business development and job creation, public safety and service to our residents,” Commission Chairman Leslie Campione said in a press release. “Through cost-cutting measures in various departments, we were able to undertake much-needed projects and still reduce our millage rate, making Lake County’s tax rate the lowest of the county millage rates in our region.”
The State of the County program, led by Chairman Campione, will also include the induction of Kyleen Jane Fischer into the Women’s Hall of Fame.
The public is encouraged to attend.
