The state-of-the-art, finely tuned Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center is not just for musical performances. It has good acoustics for laughter, too.
“A Night of Headliner Stand-up Comedy,” featuring Brett Butler, Mark Schiff, and Carol Siskind, takes the stage at 7pm Saturday, June 16, at the Sharon, 1051 Main St., Spanish Springs Town Square, The Villages. Tickets cost $20-$45.
Fans can expect unique, original insights from all three performers. The one-night-only show stars three baby boomer comedians familiar to television and nightclub audiences. Brett starred in the ABC sitcom “Grace Under Fire” from 1993-98, and was featured in HBO’s “The Leftovers” and “The Comedian,” a 2016 film starring Robert De Niro. Mark has appeared on “The Tonight Show” and is author of the book “I Killed It: True Stories of the Road.” Carol also has performed on “The Tonight Show” and has two Showtime specials and an NBC comedy special among her credits, according to thesharon.com.
The Sharon also recently announced two performances by comedian and TV host Howie Mandel at 3pm and 6pm Sept. 30. Howie has performed stand-up comedy since 1979, and is best known for his work on TV shows including “St. Elsewhere,” “Bobby’s World,” “Deal or No Deal,” and “America’s Got Talent.” The opening act is Preacher Lawson. Tickets for $55-$85 go on sale at 8:30am Aug. 8.
