Singer Tiffany coming to Clermont

If you were a teen boy in the ’80s, there might have been a time or two when you would “think you’re alone now” with teen pop sensation Tiffany.

Relive those fantasies and catch up with the modern woman during “An Evening with Tiffany” at 8pm March 16 at the Clermont Performing Arts Center Main Stage. Ticket prices start at $15, and a $45 VIP package includes a premium front-row seat and a private meet-and-greet with the singer, a news release states. Tickets can be purchased by calling 352.394.4800 or by visiting clermontpac.com.

Tiffany, who has sold more than 15 million albums, is best known for her No. 1 hits, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” the Tommy James and the Shondells remake, and “Could’ve Been.” At age 15, she set a record as the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts.

In 2000, Billboard Magazine described Tiffany’s album “The Color of Silence” as “thoughtful, intelligent, and full grace” and ranked it among the Top 10 Best Albums of the Year. Her tour for the album broke attendance records, the release states.

Tiffany also has guest-starred on TV shows such as “How I Met Your Mother,” “Celebrity Fit Club,” and “Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series,” and starred as an actress in SyFy Channel’s hit, campy movies “Mega Piranha” and “Mega Python vs Gatoroid.”

The Clermont Performing Arts Center, the largest theater in Lake County, includes the 1,200-seat Main Stage and the 250-seat Black Box Theater, which is home to the Clermont Comedy Series. The current season includes some of the brightest stars from stage and screen. Find more details and box office hours at clermontpac.com or by calling 352.394.4800.
