The current Miss Leesburg titleholders–Miss Leesburg Kamryn Reynolds, Teen Miss Mercedes Perry, Junior Miss Callie Braun, Little Miss Harper Richey and Tiny Miss Alexis Blasky–were honored by Leesburg Mayor Elise Dennison and the city commissioners at the July 27 city commission meeting.

Each girl was  given a certificate of recognition and thanked for her volunteer service to the community.

“This is one of the highlights of the year to be recognized for all they do and as youth representatives,” says Linda Watts, founder of the Miss Leesburg Scholarship Program. “These girls are proud of their hometown.”

Kamryn, Mercedes, Callie, Harper and Alexis will be passing on their titles at the 34th annual Miss Leesburg Scholarship Pageant to be hosted Sept. 26 at Leesburg High School Auditorium.

Local girls, ages 4-19, are invited to participate. The contest is open those who live or attend school in Leesburg, Yalaha, Fruitland Park, Lady Lake or The Villages. Judging will be based on poise, personality, overall appearance and communication skills.

Applications are available online at MissLeesburg.com. The entry deadline is Sept. 20. For more information, call 352-326-4217.
