Say ‘Thank you’ to Leesburg city employees for efforts after storm

After the devastation in September from Hurricane Irma, city crews in all communities jumped into action and neighbors helped neighbors restore some sense of normalcy.

The Leesburg Partnership and Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce invite all city of Leesburg employees and their families to a community appreciation and celebration. The event is scheduled from 5-7pm Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Mote-Morris House, 1195 W. Magnolia St.

The event is free and open to the public, and dinner will include hamburgers, hot dogs, sides, and drinks.

The partnership and chamber are taking this opportunity to say thank you to city employees and volunteers for the hard work they put in after the hurricane. Residents are encouraged to come out and thank their city employees, and to bring family and friends.

Sponsors of the celebration include Sandy Stokes, CPA, Insight Credit Union, and Ro-Mac Lumber.
