Project Legacy hosts 2 patriotic concerts Sunday

Two patriotic concerts, “An Honor to Our Veterans,” will take place 3 and 6 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Community Church, 509 W. Berckman St., Fruitland Park.

The concerts are being hosted by Project Legacy, a nonprofit organization devoted to meeting the needs of children in the community.

Admission is $15 to either show, with the net proceeds benefitting Project Legacy and Beyond the Walls Food Pantry.

The entertainment will be Big Band-style music by Double M Band along with popular Villages entertainers Billie Thatcher, Jan Lavin, and Alex Santoriello.

“I am very excited to be able to honor the veterans in our community through such a talented group of entertainers,” Project Legacy President Kay Wilson said in a press release.

Tickets are available for purchase by calling Barbara Reynolds at 352.217.8423.

Project Legacy is a continuous supporter of Beyond the Walls Food Pantry, a local resource to the Fruitland Park community. Donations of non-perishable food items will also be collected at the door.
