The race starts at 6pm Thursday, Oct. 17, at Wooton Park, 100 E. Ruby St. in Tavares, a news release states. The entry fee is $30 per person. To register, visit adventhealthwatermanpink.com.
The event raises money for breast cancer awareness, education and screening, and the proceeds will support AdventHealth Waterman Foundation’s cancer care funds.
Throughout October, AdventHealth facilities in Lake, Flagler and Volusia counties will host an array of events to celebrate women’s health and help fight breast cancer. Events include Zumba classes, women’s health expos, luncheons and 5K races. In addition, AdventHealth will perform 3D mammograms for $30 during October, the release states.
