Starting April 5, free shuttle service will be offered throughout the city, according to a news release.
Volunteers will drive shuttle vehicles that can transport up to seven people at a time. The shuttles will be clearly marked and recognizable to anyone who wishes to use them.
This service will be free of charge, but tips will be accepted to offset any costs.
Shuttles will run from 9:30am-6:30pm Thursday-Saturday, and from 1:30-6:30pm Sundays.
The shuttles will run every 10 minutes from the following public parking areas:
- First Methodist Church public parking on 5th Street between Grandview and Tremain.
- First Baptist Church public parking lot at 925 E. 1st
- Spillover parking on Liberty Avenue.
The new service offers a great way to park and ride into downtown Mount Dora without the worry or hassles of parking, allowing more time to enjoy the unique shopping, dining, and sightseeing available in the city, the release states.
