Mount Dora School of Ballet continues ‘Nutcracker’ tradition

nutcracker-ballet-flierThis Christmas season, nestled among the warm, twinkling lights of downtown Mount Dora, the Mount Dora School of Ballet returns for its fourth annual presentation of Lake Ballet’s “The Nutcracker,” featuring Tchaikovsky’s famous score.

The ballet is scheduled for two performances, at 7pm Saturday, Dec. 7, and at 2pm Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Mount Dora Community Building, 520 N. Baker St. Seating is limited. Tickets are available at, a news release states.

This classical ballet offers a delightful story for all ages. Guests can create lasting memories and holiday traditions with friends and family as they experience the enchanting Land of Sweets alongside Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and Sugar Plum Fairy.

The production is under the direction of Artistic Director Kathryn Wheeler and guest choreographers, and organizers promise the audience an impressive performance of expertise and professionalism, the release states.
