Mount Dora police hosts blood drive Thursday for OneBlood

The Mount Dora Police have teamed up with OneBlood to host a much needed blood drive on Thursday, Dec.3.

The city supports OneBlood in their efforts to save lives through blood drives, according to a news release from Mount Dora Public Information Officer Lisa McDonald.  During this drive, not only will OneBlood be collecting blood, but also checking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, COVID-19 antibody test iron count and do a cholesterol screening.

The Big Red Bus will be parked in front of the Mount Dora Police Department from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, and the public is invited to donate blood.   OneBlood will be giving away a free $10 eGift card with the wellness checkup.

Appointments are encouraged for social distancing.  To book an appointment, head to www.oneblood/org/donate-now and use the code #40363

For additional information, contact PIO Lisa McDonald at 352.459.3065 or email mcdonaldl@cityofmountdora.com.
