Mount Dora hosting blood drive and hurricane expo

man-donating-bloodThe city of Mount Dora is urging the public to participate in two civic-minded events that can help save lives.

The Mount Dora Police Department will host a First Responders Blood Drive from 3-8pm Thursday, July 18, a news release states. The One Blood Bus will be parked in front of the police department at 1300 N. Donnelly St. Blood donations are always critical to saving lives, and the more people give, the more lives can be saved.

W.T. Bland Public Library will host the annual Hurricane Preparedness Expo at 2pm Tuesday, July 23, in the Community Room of the library, 1995 N. Donnelly St. The free event is open to all Lake County residents and will include door prizes and refreshments.
