Mike Stone Invitational draws soccer teams from around state


Soccer fans can get their fill of the sport during the 24th annual Mike Stone Invitational. The three-day boys high school soccer tournament, attracting teams from all over the state, starts at 10am Thursday, Dec. 26, and runs through Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Mike Stone Soccer Complex, 27341 State Road 19, Tavares, a news release states. The cost is $5 per game. The tournament is run entirely by volunteers, and all proceeds are donated to For Kids’ Sake Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to pediatric cancer research and supporting families with children fighting neuroblastoma.
