Noteworthy achievement: I have been married to my wonderful husband, Dick, for 37 years. We have raised two wonderfully successful children, Kevin and Jill. Also, after moving to The Villages, I have been on the ground floor of helping to create Villages Honor Flight and had the privilege of traveling to Washington, D.C. on seven flights with the world’s greatest heroes!

Favorite getaway: Disney World by far is my favorite getaway. For years, we traveled cross country from Washington to Disney World for family vacations. Today, we have annual passes to the park. I went to Disney 55 times last year.

Collections: Disney, of course! We have collected Disney figurines, artwork, tickets, photos, and snow globes. You name it and we probably have collected it for more than 35 years. I also have Precious Moments figurines and, of course, all the Disney Precious Moments dolls and figurines, as well.

Hometown: Bremerton, Wash. It is a military town where you either were a military family or worked in a naval shipyard that supported our military. The patriotism and understanding of the sacrifices that military men and women make daily are evident day in and day out.

Charitable involvement: Villages Honor Flight is a hub of the national organization that makes sure all veterans who have never seen the war memorials in Washington, D.C., are able to visit them at no cost. Traveling to D.C. on these trips has been the most rewarding volunteer job ever!
