Library cards are tickets to travel

It’s not too late! Even though September is national library card signup month, you can still get a library card in October.

Lake County has turned to its first poet laureate, Laura Sobbott Ross, to promote library card sign-ups. She has created a video and written a poem describing the places you can travel through books.

Laura is a widely-published award-winning writer whose work has appeared in more than 100 literary journals. She is a state-certified English teacher and writing coach. This is her title for a year, and she is dedicated to fostering a love of poetry in people of all ages by hosting free workshops and programs across the county.

Her video is available to watch at https:www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONCp8gvzKVc

The best part: Library cards are free and you can sign-up in October, too. It’s never too late.
