It’s the first day on the job for a new employee with the city of Leesburg.
The city welcomed Ann Kinsey on Friday, March 1, as its newly appointed building official, a news release states.
She most recently served as plans examiner for Lake County Building Services. She is licensed by the state of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as a building code administrator, and also holds numerous plans examination and inspection licenses.
“Ann brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our community,” City Manager Al Minner says in the release. “Her background and skills, both in and out of the building field, will allow her to make a big impact on how the city deals with contractors and residents, as well as addressing our goals in the building division. I am excited to have Ann on board and know she will make a great addition to our team.”
Along with her field experience, Ann is certified to teach several building inspection classes. She also is a published author.
