It’s baaack! Get ready to rock at Rocktoberfest in Tavares

After taking a year off, Rocktoberfest returns to Tavares and there’s going to be more rockin’ than ever.

The free street party is scheduled from 4-10pm Saturday, Oct. 13, at Wooton Park, 100 E. Ruby St. Seating is limited, so visitors are urged to bring a chair or blanket. Parking will be available in the parking garage at 200 N. Sinclair Ave.

Opening act Hypersona kicks off the musical festivities. The headliner is Petty Cash, featuring musicians from Fuel, the Offspring, ÆGES, Venrez, and Juliette & the Licks, who will perform the best of Tom Petty and Johnny Cash songs in their first Florida show.

More live music is on tap downtown from 10pm-midnight with Carry the Day at Brü Tap House, and Da Boyz at Ruby Street Grille.

Enjoy local specialties from BTW, Kalua Beach Bar, KoKo’s Bar & Grill, Puddle Jumpers, Tiki West Bar & Grill, and other food vendors, and wash it down at the beer garden. In addition, FLA Car Shows has organized a car display, and cornhole and other games will be available for the kids.
