Who better than Villagers to be ambassadors for growing bolder?
Growing Bolder, a global leader and advocate for healthy, active lifestyles, is set to launch its newest initiative, an Ambassadors Club, in The Villages. The presentation is scheduled from 4-5pm Tuesday, March 5, at the Hampton Inn, 11727 NE 63rd Drive. There is no cost to join the club. Interested individuals are asked to RSVP at growingbolder.com/villages.
Growing Bolder is a nationally distributed television and radio program, podcast, publishing enterprise, and motivational brand with 20 million impressions weekly on Facebook, according to a news release. The program’s intention is to revolutionize how people view aging and experience life.
“When it comes to aging, we’re all victims of brainwashing,” Marc Middleton, Growing Bolder founder, CEO, and an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, says in the release. “It’s time to fight back and change the way we age.”
This message resonates on a daily basis in the 55-plus community of The Villages, which is why Marc is launching the new Ambassadors Club there. He and his team are familiar faces at The Villages, where dozens of shows have been produced featuring everything from world record-setting feats to residents who took up new challenges after retirement.
“The purpose (of the club) is to give people who believe in living lives filled with joy and possibility an opportunity to be encouraged by others who share that vision,” says Marc, a seven-time masters swimming national champion.
The Villagers Ambassadors will be among the first to receive Marc’s just-released book, “Growing Bolder: Defy the Cult of Youth, Live with Passion and Purpose.” They also will receive an Ambassador T-shirt and a subscription to Growing Bolder magazine. Marc also plans to hold a major event in April at The Villages.
“We want to build on the enthusiasm and growing number of advocates living lives filled with purpose and wellness,” Marc says. “The Villages is the perfect place to launch a program that we believe will catch fire and replace fear of aging with expectation of boundless opportunity.”
Some Villagers, including Sal Gentile, already have signed up.
“I’ve learned so much already from Marc,” says Sal, a New York native and former IBM executive who leads The Villages Tinnitus and Hearing Loss Support Group. “Growing Bolder is about helping people who need hope and trying to inspire them through your own actions.”
