Golf and life skills clinic set for youths in Clermont

Online registration begins Dec. 5 for First Tee of Central Florida’s 2019 Winter Golf and Life Skills Experience Clinics. The nine-week series for youth development meets once-a-week beginning the week of Jan. 7, 2019.

Classes for 7- to 12-year-old participants will be held Mondays from 4:45 -6:00 pm at King’s Ridge Golf Club, 1950 Kings Ridge Blvd., Clermont.

Registrants will need to pay the $25 annual membership fee for 2019 in addition to the $50 fee for the nine-week program session. Debit or credit cards will be accepted for online registration.

The First Tee of Central Florida maintains a policy that no child will be turned away for an inability to pay; financial assistance is available and can be requested during the registration process.

The Golf and Life Skills Experience program was developed by experts in the field of positive youth development and is delivered by coaches and volunteers trained through The First Tee Coach Program. The goal is to empower youth by creating a mastery-driven environment while seamlessly integrating golf and life skills.
