Experts presenting Hurricane Preparedness Program in Mt. Dora

With the memories of Hurricane Irma still lingering, emergency managers want citizens to be better prepared during the 2018 storm season.

Experts will present a Hurricane Preparedness Program at 2pm Thursday, July 26, at W.T. Bland Public Library, 1995 N. Donnelly St., Mount Dora. This event is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Mount Dora Library Association. No registration is required.

The program will educate citizens on how to protect themselves and their property before, during, and after a hurricane or tropical storm, a news release states. Representatives from Lake County Emergency Management, Mount Dora Fire Department, Mount Dora Electric, and Hillcrest Insurance will give presentations.

Refreshments will be available and door prizes will be given away. For more information, call the library at 352.735.7180, option 5, or email library@cityofmountdora.com.
