On Monday, Oct. 15, a recorded DVD presentation of Lucia di Lammermoor will be presented, with English subtitles at 1:45pm in room 108-B.
The famous opera in three acts is about an emotionally fragile woman (Lucia), who is caught in a feud between her own family and the Ravenwoods. The setting is 17th century Scotland.
The Italian opera was written by Gaetano Donizetti Salvadore Cammarano and loosely based upon Sir Walter Scott’s historical novel The Bride of Lammermoor.
The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments provided during intermission.
