Occupation: Owner of O’Brien Construction Company.
Philosophy of life: “You can’t buy happiness.”
Hidden talents: Can change his daughters’ diapers in record time!
Guilty pleasures: Chocolate milk.
Describe yourself: Humble, honest, reliable, and a kid at heart.
Favorite part of my job: Building customer relationships through honest work and integrity. Even though sales are important to our success, I don’t see myself as a salesman. Being straightforward with customers about the project along with getting to know them outside of work is what drives us every day. There have even been instances where we have joined our clients for breakfast before we start our day.
Leader I admire: My dad. Being around the construction industry my entire life, I’ve acquired the skills and professionalism to be successful. Following in the footsteps of a general contractor has led me to endless opportunities and a great reputation. Love ya, Pops.
Greatest career accomplishment: We are celebrating five years in business this year with the help of word-of-mouth clients. Along with serving over 1,000 Lake County residents, maybe my greatest sense of pride is our perfect 5-star Google rating and A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
Advice I’d give my younger self: Rome wasn’t built in a day. Pay attention to detail and take your time; if you do that, your phone will always be ringing for work.
