Cold-weather shelter to open in Fruitland Park

With temperatures expected to drop Wednesday evening, Trinity Assembly of God in Fruitland Park is opening its doors to those vulnerable to the cold weather.

Trinity Assembly of God, 200 Urick St., will be open for sheltering from 5:30pm Wednesday, Jan. 30, to 7am Thursday, Jan. 31.

Lake County Transit will pick up residents between the hours of 5:30pm and 8pm from the Come As You Are Ministry at 1344 Griffin Road, Leesburg. Citizens requesting transportation who are unable to meet at the pick-up location should call 352.742.2612 before 5 p.m.
