Any rock fan would love to hear behind-the-scenes stories about John Lennon and the Beatles, Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, or other artists such as the Who, Eric Clapton, Janis Joplin, and Linda Ronstadt.
Legendary rock ’n’ roll photographer Ethan Russell will be bringing his stories to The Villages. Tickets are on sale for his show, “The Best Seat in the House,” an evening of storytelling scheduled for 7pm June 3 at the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center, 1051 Main St. Tickets cost $20-$40 and are available online at thesharon.com or any Villages box office.
Russell is a Grammy-nominated photographer and director. In 1968, he was a young American with a Nikon camera living in London and aspiring to become a writer, according to The Sharon website. A few years later, he was one of the foremost rock photographers in the world. He is the only photographer who has shot album covers for the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and the Who.
The multimedia event also will include music, a gallery of his famous photographs, and a Q&A session, and fans will be able to get Russell’s autograph on any purchased photographs on display in The Sharon lobby after the show.
