Fans of the “classics” should head to Groveland this weekend.

WJBJ’s Cruisin’ with the Classics is scheduled from 11am-3pm Saturday, Feb. 9, at Groveland’s Downtown Festival Park. The event will feature dozens of vintage cars, while DJ and former radio host Butch Johnston will play classic hits from the 1950s-1970s. Admission is free, and no registration is necessary for those who want to display their cars, a news release states.

Among the other attractions are a Disco Car mechanical ride, below, for kids and teenagers, a 1pm line dancing demonstration in which everyone can participate, along with barbecue platters and adult beverages. Mayor Evelyn Wilson also will host the serving of free birthday cake to all children and adults celebrating birthdays in February, a new community tradition started this year.

Free on-site parking is available at the park at the corner of Crittenden Street and Main Avenue. For more information, call 407.797.9393 or email
