Central Florida singer CeCe Teneal, Soul Kamotion playing in Mt. Dora

The “Voice of Neo-Blues” is bringing her talents to Mount Dora.

CeCe Teneal & Soul Kamotion will perform at 7pm Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Mount Dora Community Center theater, 520 N. Baker St. Tickets cost $15-$25 and can be purchased at mountdoralive.com or by calling 352.735.7183. Students receive a discount on tickets.

Born in Osteen, just outside Orlando, CeCe will perform original blues, soul, and funk music with her band Soul Kamotion. With CeCe on lead vocals, Soul Kamotion is expected to release its first collective CD this year, according to the band’s website.

She was selected as the lead singer for B.B. King’s Blues Club in Orlando in 2007 and succeeded in transforming the club into the most frequented live music venue in Orlando, according to a promotional release on mountdoralive.com. In 2011, she released her debut blues album, “Train from Osteen,” performed to sold-out crowds, and earned the nickname, the “Voice of Neo-Blues.” On Facebook, CeCe promises fun at the concert: “I mean like ‘No holds barred, let your hair all the way down FUN!!’”
