The ‘Burg is Coming Along

open-for-business
It’s nice to see new businesses popping up along Leesburg’s main arteries.

We have two new Dunkin’ Donuts – one on 14th Street and a second one in front of the Lake Square Mall.

And the old Barnhill’s out by the mall finally got a new tenant – an extremely busy one – in the form of Ichiban Buffet.

And I’m not sure we needed another auto parts store (or two more donut vendors, for that matter), but O’Reilly’s is occupying the old Sav-A-Lot on 14th. A little competition never hurt anyone, right?

But the big questions remain: Who’s building by the Wendy’s on 14th Street? … and who is going to occupy the old Golden Corral on the north end by Sonic?

Reliable sources tell me that Krystal, purveyor of itsy-bitsy square hamburgers, is buidling in front of Palm Plaza near Wendy’s, but the Golden Corral won’t be selling food – it will be a tag office and driver’s license branch. Now that will be welcome. No more going to one place to get your license and somewhere else to get title and registration.

Way to go Leesburg! You’re getting there!
