Are you ready for the blues? Mount Dora’s got it

It’s time once again to get your blues groove on.

The ninth annual Mount Dora Blues-N-Groove Weekend is scheduled from noon-6pm Saturday at Elizabeth Evans Park, 100 N. Donnelly St. This is a rain or shine event.

Formerly known as the Mount Dora Blues & Wine Festival, the Blues-N-Groove event continues the tradition of bringing fabulous blues music to the Mount Dora waterfront.

The festival features four national acts: the Nouveaux Honkies, Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones, JP Soars & The Red Hots, and the John Clifton Blues Band.

Beer, wine, cocktails, and food will be available. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs, but no coolers, please. Tickets cost $10 for general admission, and $25 for VIP. For tickets, go to bluesandgroove.com or call 352.735.7183.

After the shows, take an after-hours blues stroll for more music in downtown bars and restaurants.
