Annual Christmas parade to roll through The Villages Polo Field

The Villages loves a parade, and everyone can get into the spirit at the community’s annual Christmas Parade.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9, at The Villages Polo Field, 703 Buena Vista Blvd., with gates opening at 10am and musical entertainment set for 10am-noon. The parade will begin at noon, and the event runs until 1pm, according to the district administration website. The parade is free and open to the public, so bring your friends and family to enjoy all the fun and excitement.

Every seat along the parade route has a great view. Food vendors will include Good Tyme Kettlecorn, JNB, Bobalou’s BBQ, Hadley Family Concession, Polka Dog, and more.

Visitors are encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped toy for children up to 12 years old at the Toys for Tots collection boxes.

Parking will be limited, and golf carts and carpooling are encouraged. Golf carts are advised to cross over Buena Vista Boulevard via the roadway at the Southern Trace intersection instead of using the golf cart tunnel. Sumter County sheriff’s deputies will be on location to monitor and assist with traffic control.

Free park & ride shuttle service will be available at Savannah Center, 1545 Buena Vista Blvd., and Laurel Manor Recreation Center, 1985 Laurel Manor Drive. Service starts at 9:15am with the last shuttle before the parade running at 11:15am. The last shuttle after the parade will run at 2:15pm.
