A Gift of Love from Babette’s

Babette’s Furniture & Home and Lifestyle Furniture by Babette’s are familiar stores in this area. It’s their hometown appeal that keeps their business thriving. In addition, they truly care for the community and share that care in big ways.

Recently the two stores combined to make a donation of more than $19,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida through Babette’s “Share the Comfort” promotion during the holidays.

For the second year, they raised these funds in honor of 11-year-old Jay Ryon, Jr., who is battling leukemia. Since 2015, Ryon and his family have stayed in the RMH at Florida Hospital for all of his treatments.

“Amazing things are happening every day because of the hard work and dedication of both the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Ryon family,” says Gina Stogran, director of marketing and communications for Babette’s Furniture & Home. “Their passion for helping others is truly inspiring to all of us at Babette’s.”

Lou Ann DeVoogd is president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, and she appreciates how valuable this kind of help is.

“We are so grateful for the generosity of the community and Babette’s Furniture for their continued support of our mission and of the Ryon family,” Lou Ann says. “It is community partners like Babette’s Furniture who allow us to keep our doors open and continue serving Central Florida Families.”
